But Jesus came that you may have LIFE



BY DR. NOTYAUKA HANGULA. Life is the ultimate gift! Did you know that:55.3 million people die every year. 151 600 people die everyday.  6316 people die each hour. 105 people die each minute. 

Life is a gift! I did not insert these statistics to scare you, but to show you just how temporary our lives are. God created you for a purpose and He wants you to fulfil it. You may think there is nothing good in your life, but every minute that you are alive is an opportunity to praise Him for His grace that sustains you.

"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." Psalm 68:19 In February 2015 my cousin, who was very dear to me, passed away at the tender age of 22. During that time, I often wondered why she died so young. I asked God "Lord why have I made it this far and she hasn't? Why am I alive? Is there something that you want me to do while I am still here on earth?" It was a difficult period, but I learned that God has a purpose for me and every day that I wake up and take a breath is a reason to praise Him! The Bible says, in Lamentations 3, that it is because of God's loving-kindness and mercy that we are not consumed. We may not always see it, but God is working behind the scenes of our lives, protecting us, closing doors that lead to destruction and leading us along the right path. Isn't it a privilege to have such a loving and merciful God watching over us? Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 John 10:10 says that the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy but JESUS came so that we may have life - in abundance! What a gift! Through Jesus Christ we have access to eternal life, peace, health, joy and victory over every situation we face. If that's not something to testify about everyday, then I don't know what is! Gifts come in different shapes and sizes. Some come wrapped in beautiful paper with a golden bow perfectly placed at the top. Others come in old and crinkled cardboard boxes. But nonetheless, a gift remains a gift. Choose to see the goodness in everyday. Live everyday conscious of the fact that God is working things out for your good and that He has a purpose for you. Jesus died so that we may live, you are so precious in His sight and there is so much in store for you child of God! The Lord is your Shepherd, you lack nothing. Don't waste your life, live wisely and always remember that your life is a testimony of God's great love! May He grant you the grace to know Him more and walk in His will daily. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you call dwell in the house of the Lord forevermore! Hallelujah! "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
