GOD commanded us to go...

Where are we going? What do we do when we go?

Matthew 28:16-20

A commission is an authorization or command to act in a prescribed manner.

The disciples had been with JESUS for 3 years. They had seen miracle signs and wonders. They had been healed, they saw people been healed, gentiles were been converted, seeing people all out for Christ. At first, they doubted what JESUS was capable of doing and most important of all, who He was. It was until he fed a crowd that had five thousand men, walked on water, changed water into wine, delivered the Samaritan woman, forgave and healed the woman caught in adultery, etc that they believed. In short, they had seen the mighty hand of God; they realized there is much more to Christianity than just the 10 commandments.

It was not enough for them just to see and experience the mighty living GOD, He transforming power and everything in-between, they had to reach out to those that did not hear of this magnificent savoir. They were commanded by the authority and power of God to GO. A commission is a command. Jesus was not asking them to go or that they should go when they are comfortable or when they had time. NO! It was a command! “Since all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me, go therefore and make disciples…”

Do we realize that we cannot “go and make disciples” if you are not a disciple? I do not think we can even go. Or we would go and do our own thing. A disciple is one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another. A Christian disciple accepts Christ as their personal savior, having an attitude of meekness, brokenness and humility through sanctification, follow him and spreads the word of God. Normally an apple tree produces apple fruits; in short, we produce what we are. We shall be known by our fruits. Maybe the important question is “am I a disciple?” if you have believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and personal savoir and if you are allowing Him to sanctify you (which by the way is a process), you are a disciple. You need to GO!

Q: WHERE ARE WE GOING?

ANS: to all the nations! Yes, the first nation that came to mind.

Q; WHAT ARE WE DOING WHEN WE GO?

ANS: we are going to share the word of GOD according to the bible, baptizing them that receive and accept Him in the name of the Father, son and the Holy Spirit. We do not end here; we teach them to observe all that He has commanded us. This is called sanctification. This a very import part of the Christian journey, it should be made clear and understood. It is a journey, a process that can only be achieved by the help of the Holy Spirit.

We have taken this journey. This is our first ever blog and post. Yay!!! We are so excited to embark on this journey with you; we cannot wait to see where God is taking us. We thank GOD for internet because we can reach literally anyone.

There is so much that will be done here. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in you and through you. It is a daily thing.

God bless you.
