Psalm 11:3
“ if the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do?”
Everything has a beginning. Every structure has a foundation.
Foundation is a something (such as an idea, a principle or a fact) that provides support for something.
With that been said, everything needs a foundation. Something that will provide support for what you are building. This applies in all aspects, spiritually, emotionally, physically academically, career wise, etc. All these need to be built on something that is stable and strong enough to support the bricks you are laying and the challenges that come with building. Check the foundation on with you are building! Is it strong enough to stand every season of life?
You need a foundation. What or who is your foundation? Is it strong enough to support you and what you are building? Truth be told, your foundation says a lot about you, your character and personality. Your character stands on your foundation, what is on the outside of you reflects your foundation, your response to situations tell us what our foundation is and how weak or strong it is. A strong foundation is able withstand any season and everything that comes with it. Even if the rains and the floods come and the winds beat on whatever you are building, it shall not fall. A strong foundation not only supports what you are building but is strong enough to support other people too. With a strong foundation, even if what you built or building falls at some point, you are able to rebuild on it. It is not shaken.
If you have a weak foundation on the other hand, anything and everything can be built on you. Anyone can bring any kind of material and you will gladly receive it. You have no boundaries, no stand, no values, no purpose, no direction, nothing whatsoever. A weak foundation makes you polluted and inferior, it gives one a low self esteem and one can live a miserable life. A life God did not intend for us to have.
Matthew 7:24-27. Our ultimate foundation is the word of God who is Jesus Christ. On Christ the solid rock we shall stand, all other foundation is sinking sand. Stand on the word of God to be firm,
If you have cracks in your life, check what foundation you have built on. Do not try to cover up the cracks, rather ask Him to shake your foundation until all that is left is him. You can not mix two materials to make a foundation, choose one and stick to it! I pray you choose Jesus today.
