Fear of Commitment

BY JATOYA NENDONGO.

Fear of commitment is toxic.. thank God for detox Friday!

Most people dont like to make commitment because of the *fear of Failure*.

where does this fear come from? Is it because we focus on who we are as earthly beings or we focus on our earthly follen nature?

WHAT IF it doesn't work out? What if they don’t choose me, what if I get it all wrong, what if I am attacked....But then, HOW CAN IT NOT WORK OUT IF THE SAME SPIRIT THAT RISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD IS LIVING IN YOU. We are too focused on *WHAT IFs* and on the Plans of the enemy, only focusing on The bad things forgetting that we serve an all knowing, capable God. Quite honestly, I’d rather say “ opps!” than “what if”. Life is too short, trust God.

We often forget who HE is, the I AM. That the one living in us is GREATER than the one that is in the world! We are so clouded by ourselves, fears and failures that we don't see it through God's perspective. we see our circumstances and become discouraged. Why?we are focused on our abilities. How can I handle this ? Can I handle it? We ask ourselves these questions each passing day. The more we think , the less committed we became because in our eyes, it seems impossible. Ask yourself how many business opportunities you have missed because you were afraid to commit. How much Spiritual growth would have taken place, how many ladies /gentlemen you have missed . How many chances of excellence you have missed!!

Don’t worry, there’s hope and hope never disappoints. The good news is that ,we are no longer who we used to be, powerless Slavery, defeatable people, We are more than conquerers, even if you can't see it. The truth is You are No longer the Old you. You are powerful and Mighty. You are BORN AGAIN. If you are willing to partner with Him, things will change.

We commit because of who God is, because of who He is, whether we face what seems like failure or we succeed, they will all work for the best and good for you and me. God is always in control. The Bible says “THE ENEMY SHALL NOT SNATCH AWAY NON OF THOSE THAT THE FATHER HAS GIVEN ME” May fear not snatch you from the father, in Jesus’ name.

Let’s look at some characters in the Bible.

David was fully committed to Kill Goliath because He was fully convinced and fully trusted that ALL THINGS WORK OUT FOR THOSE THAT LOVE THE LORD...

Joshua and Caleb was Fully committed to drive out the giants from the Promise Land because they were fully convinced and fully trusted that ALL THINGS WORK OUT FOR THOSE THAT LOVE THE LORD.

Abraham , a man of faith was also fully committed to God and His calling upon his life to a point were he left he’s family who were not only idol worshippers but made the idols.

Imagine if these few characters feared. Imagine them not committed to the will of God, do you think we would be reading about them? I don’t think so!

God is for us, around us, in us ,for us...etc. It's up to us to take whatever is being presented to you according to His will and MOVE by Faith and NOT by sight.

Let's conquer fear and start to make commitments to our relationships, studies, careers, families, ministries and in whatever really.

1 John 4:18

”there isn’t fear in love, but perfect love casts out all fear....”

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.”

God bless you

Amen🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
