Mr. man, who are you??

Hello friends, It’s Monday, and our manhood topic is on. Allow me to begin with an analogy. A man sat with his wife in a gathering where there was going to be an important guest to speak. So as the meeting went on, the man and his wife were chatting to each other, commenting and analyzing issues that were being presented in that meeting. Finally, the guest speaker arrived and they all stopped and looked on as he walked in. The wife to the man (the chatting couple) looked on too, she passed a comment, “these are men!” The husband looked at the wife and looked at himself, in his mind, he asked, “then what am I? Who am I really? “

Therefore, I ask you this same question Mr. man, who are you? Since our focus is Godly manhood, we ought to search the scriptures and let God define us through His word. The core of a man’s life should be his relationship with God.

Micah 6:8 says, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

It is only when we follow God’s design for manhood that we find our worth as men. He has laid it all out for us in his word; we just need to walk in it. There are lots of scriptures that we are going to look at that show us who a Godly man is supposed to be. God wants us to have sound character and exhibit maturity. The two almost go hand in hand if we are to live our lives men, and most importantly, as God intended us to live. Friends, we are going to spend a few weeks breaking down character and maturity in a man. Oh, here is a scripture about maturity…“Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.” -1 Corinthians 14:20. If you have subscribed already, please feel free to write a comment, ask questions or raise any concerns if have any on this topic. God bless you, shalom
