Brother, try it the Joseph way!!

Hello friends, it is Monday again and we can continue with our Monday topic as we said we would.

Without wasting time, let us get in it. As I was studying, I came across this scripture

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:5-7

For some time I sat trying to think of men in the bible who were humble, and joseph the husband to Mary the mother of Jesus got me thinking more.

I thought, what kind of man Joseph was, I mean he did not have to take Mary as his wife, he could have acted as tradition demanded at the time, which was to publicly embarrass Mary, he could have done anything. Matthew 1:19 New Living Translation (NLT)19 Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement[a] quietly.

Titus 2:7-8 ESV Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Joseph chose the humble and integrity way. Surely, it was not easy for him, but in verse 20 of Matthew 1, God spoke to him and assured him that everything will be okay. Maybe you need to think like joseph, what is happening around you that you are not reacting well to? Maybe all God wants from you is that you take it easy like Joseph. Despite knowing that you are not at fault, chose to be humble and let people find comfort in you as Mary did in Joseph.

Titus 2:7-8 ESV

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

The Titus scripture clearly describes what kind of man joseph was…
